Managed Care Services
It is our goal to ensure that quality behavioral health and substance abuse treatment occurs in the least restrictive appropriate setting and within appropriate time frames. A variety of treatment settings of varying intensity may be appropriate, as may different therapies, modalities and adjuncts.
Workplace Solutions® Behavioral Health Gatekeeper Services utilizes the EAP as the point of access to all behavioral health services provided to employees. With this program, Workplace Solutions® professional counselors will receive all initial calls and provide a comprehensive clinical assessment. This assessment constitutes pre-certification and will result in a referral to a clinically appropriate resource. Depending on the nature of the situation, the clinically appropriate resource may be the EAP, a network provider or a community resource. Our case managers will then provide on-going support and review of complicated cases.
With Behavioral Health Gatekeeper Services, the employee can be provided with incentives to contact the EAP first as the point of access when seeking services within the behavioral health benefit, thereby maximizing this benefit.
Integrated EAP/Managed Behavioral Healthcare Services includes a specialty behavioral health provider network. This program is designed to operate with Workplace Solutions® providing and managing all of the services. This program can also be designed to integrate with an external managed care organization. By integrating your EAP services with management of behavioral healthcare insurance benefits, your company can ensure that services provided are the most appropriate as well as efficient, cost-effective treatment options. This program is ideal for the company who has a self-funded insurance plan or an indemnity plan. |
