How do EAP counseling services work?

A professional EAP counselor can help an employee clarify the nature of their concern. Our caring counselors will help an employee evaluate the options available to an employee in order to best meet their needs.  This assessment can be done by phone or in person at a time and location convenient for an employee.  An employee and their family members can contact an intake counselor via the telephone at 800-327-5071 or online contact form.

If it is determined that an issue can be addressed and resolved within a short-term framework, then short-term counseling is available for an employee through the EAP.  The counselor will help them explore options for change and help them make the choices needed to move forward.

Sometimes further assistance is needed beyond the EAP.  Every effort is made to provide the most appropriate and cost effective referral resources available to address personal concerns.  Our EAP counselors will take the time to present a variety of options as well as prepare an employee to take the next step.

Are EAP Services just for employees?

An employee is eligible to receive a wide range of supportive services through the EAP. Family members living within the household are also eligible and can contact the EAP directly to access services to meet their needs.

Do employees have to pay for EAP services?

There is no cost to an employee or their eligible family members to utilize the resources available through the EAP.

Is it really confidential?

In accordance with professional ethics as well as State and Federal law, all EAP records are CONFIDENTIAL. Information will not be shared with anyone without the client’s written consent.
